ABOUT · NEWCOSTA CONNECT

I build the security system I’d want for my own home.

One architect, ongoing support

I’m the person behind NewCosta Connect — and it is one person, not a franchise with a sales team. I’m a cyber-security architect and an independent AI developer, and I understand the electronics and IoT hardware these systems are actually built from, end to end.

That mix isn’t an accident. I’ve run my own internet service provider, so I know connectivity and networks from the ground up. I built robotic fulfilment sites for Amazon, where the electronics and systems either work reliably at scale or they don’t. And I spent years defending large online gaming and gambling operators — some of the most relentlessly attacked businesses on the internet — against real adversaries trying to break in every single day.

Across 15+ years of network and security engineering, the one thing that stuck with me is that most security fails not because the parts are bad, but because no one designed the system to survive the moment it’s actually tested.

WHY I BUILT THIS

I kept hearing the same story on the coast.

Someone’s villa is broken into; their alarm did nothing, because the crew jammed the signal and cut the power before they ever reached the door. The cameras were recording to a box they simply unplugged and took with them. These weren’t cheap systems — they just weren’t designed by anyone who’d thought about how a competent intruder works.

I am not here to talk you out of your alarm. A monitored alarm from a reputable provider is the right front line against the everyday burglar, and you should have one. What I build is the layer above it — the one that keeps working in the exact moment a standalone alarm goes dark, when the signal is jammed and the power is cut. When I looked at what was on the market here, nobody was selling that layer. So I designed it myself.

THREE SKILLS, ONE PERSON

What I offer only exists because three skills happen to sit in the same person.

The security architect

Knows how a property is really attacked, and designs the layers so no single failure brings the system down.

The AI developer

Puts a genuinely private intelligence inside your home — one that controls the house and talks to you, while nothing leaves the property.

The electronics engineer

Makes solar power, backup systems, cameras and networks behave as one reliable whole — not four things that occasionally argue.

Most companies need a team of specialists for this, and the specialists spend half their time blaming each other. With me, the person who designs your system is the one who installs it, hardens it, and picks up the phone two years later when you have a question.

That’s also why I work conceptually in public and precisely in private. On a survey I’ll show you exactly how your home would be approached and what it would take to protect it. The details of how it’s built — the parts that make mine hold together when an imitation wouldn’t — stay where they belong: in the work itself.
