Do I still need a monitored alarm if I install NewCosta Connect?
Yes. NewCosta Connect is designed as an independent survival layer that sits on top of your existing front-line protection. A reputable monitored alarm remains your first responder, with professional monitoring and physical deterrents that do a vital job. We do not replace that. We add a separate, hardened layer that carries on detecting and recording if the primary path is disrupted.
The whole service is run by one person. What happens if you are on holiday or unavailable?
The value of a single architect is single accountability. There is no chain of subcontractors to blame when something needs attention. Every system is built to operate autonomously for months without daily babysitting, and any support arrangement is agreed with you upfront before the build begins. It is important to be clear: this is not a monitoring centre with round-the-clock watch-keepers, which is precisely why you keep your monitored alarm as the front line.
Can you guarantee that alerts will always reach me, and can the system be jammed?
Nothing in electronic security can be guaranteed immune to interference, and we will never claim otherwise. A determined intruder can jam a wireless signal or cut a line they can reach. The architecture is built around survival, not immunity. Each part of the layer is engineered to find its own way out, so no single jam or cut ever buys an intruder complete silence. One path may be challenged, but others keep recording and signalling independently.
What does the service cost?
Every installation is bespoke, priced only after a free private site survey and a one-page architecture document. There are no off-the-shelf packages. Costs reflect premium hardware, discrete installation, and a system tailored to the topology of your property and its specific risks. A typical rural finca with distant boundaries and multiple buildings requires a very different build from a compact urban villa, so pricing follows the architecture, not a catalogue.
Does my camera footage and data remain private?
Yes. All evidence stays on your property. There is no cloud subscription, no third-party server, and no external data repository. You retain full ownership of every recording, and nothing leaves the estate unless you choose to move it.
Will this protect me during an armed home invasion while I am inside the house?
No. NewCosta Connect is a property and evidence-preservation system, not a personal-safety or life-protection service. No camera or alarm layer can guarantee your physical safety during an active intrusion while you are on site. If you are in the property during a break-in, your priority should be to follow the advice of the authorities and your own personal safety plan.
How long does a project take, and what does the process look like?
It begins with a free private site survey, followed by a one-page architecture that sets out what is recommended and why. Only once you have seen that document do we discuss a quote. Because each build is bespoke, timelines vary with the scale of the property and the complexity of the layering. A modest urban install may take days; a sprawling finca with multiple autonomous zones will take longer. Nothing is rushed.
Where do you work?
Across the Costa del Sol, from Málaga westward. I work with owners of distance villas, rural fincas, and urban homes who want a hardened independent layer rather than a standard off-the-shelf package.
If you would like to see how an independent survival layer could sit on top of your existing front line, you are welcome to book a free private site survey. We can walk the property together and produce a one-page architecture with no obligation to proceed.
